In August 2007, I did a charity wheelchair drive, for the Stroke Association, from Teignmouth to Paignton & back. A distance of about 10 miles each way. With about a 45 minute stop for lunch at my old care home, the whole thing took me about 5 ½ hours & I raised just under £1,000. In 2008, I plan to do a much shorter “Drive” (About 2 miles) & I hope that anybody with a disability, will join in. (Nobody did, despite advertising in 3 local papers. I raised about £600)

Due to lack of support from both participants and supporters, I can't really see the point of trying to raise awareness of stroke victims or any disabled people for that matter. Shame!
